Contact Safeguarding Adults

Following a review of service, the Safeguarding Adults & Mental Capacity Act Team (SAMCAT) is changing and moving locations. 

 

SAMCAT is being split into two distinct teams to help provide specific services; this will be effective from Friday 3rd June.

 

The Safeguarding Adults Strategic Team is moving to County Hall, West Bridgford, Nottingham, NG2 7QP. 

 

The Safeguarding Adults Strategic Team’s responsibilities will include:

  • The work of the Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB)
  • Safeguarding Adults Multi Agency Training
  • Quality Assurance
  • Policy and Procedures
  • Communication

The Safeguarding Adults Practice Team is moving to Lawn View House, 40 Station Road, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 5GA.

 

The Safeguarding Adults Practice Team’s responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing advice, guidance and support to social care staff healthcare staff  and members of the independent and voluntary sector relating to:
    - Safeguarding Adults
    - Mental Capacity Act
    - Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
  • Managing the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, NHS Nottinghamshire and NHS Bassetlaw.
