Following a review of service, the Safeguarding Adults & Mental Capacity Act Team (SAMCAT) has changed and moved locations.
SAMCAT has been split into two distinct teams to help provide specific services.

Safeguarding Adults Practice Team’s responsibilities
- Providing advice, guidance and support to social care staff healthcare staff and members of the independent and voluntary sector relating to:
- Safeguarding Adults
- Mental Capacity Act
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
- Managing the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, NHS Nottinghamshire and NHS Bassetlaw.
