Health and Wellbeing Board

About the Board

The aim of the board is to find out what Nottinghamshire needs to improve health and well-being and to develop a strategy to deliver this. The board will carry out an assessment - called the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) - across the county to find out if there are particular patterns or issues in a certain area, such as an obesity problem or poor dental health. The JSNA will be used to plan how money is spent to improve the situation in each area in the future.

The board also promotes close co-operation between the health service, local government and providers of services.
