The Summer Reading Challenge takes place during the school holidays every summer at a library near you!
The challenge, aimed at 4-12 year olds, is to read 6 or more books over the summer.
There are:
- special rewards to collect
-
online games and quizzes
-
special events in libraries
- and for those who complete the challenge a certificate and a gold medal!
All libraries take part. It's all free so there is no excuse not to join in the fun!
2011 challenge
The 2011 challenge has now ended. This year's theme was "Circus Stars". Several libraries had special events featuring storytellers, stilt-walkers and clowns.
