Mansfield Library

Mansfield Library: Now open

Mansfield Library has reopened after an extensive refurbishment project. Nottinghamshire County Council Chairman Keith Walker officially opened the new library on January 10.

What's changed?

Mansfield library has been transformed during its refurbishment, which included essential repairs to the building.

We have spoken to our users. Improvements include:

  • Lots of new books and other items for you to borrow with better layout, making it easier for you to choose too!
  • Even more computers for you to use
  • An exciting new children’s library with space for all age groups
  • A larger local history area, which is accessible for all
  • Dedicated spaces for
    • studying, doing research and information
    • relaxing and reading newspapers and magazines
    • young people
  • Refreshment facilities and a place to just 'be'
  • A flexible event space so we can hold more events in the library

And if that is not enough we also have:

  • Another lift to help you get to the main library
  • Improved toilet facilities
  • A more comfortable environment through more efficient heating and ventilation
